The Officiation of My Blog

Hi. This blog is actually created so I could create a photo album to display pics of The Five's (+1) Trip To Genting. I might not update very often. So to those of u who are interested to know what's going on in my life I would suggest that SMS is a better option.

Well since I'm writing I might as well proclaim to the world that I will be known as a Medical Student very soon ad boy am I proud to be able to wear the title. I got accepted into Universiti Malaya's Faculty of Medicine. Just like my mother before me. My late grandfather (Ishak) and my grandmother (Fatimah) were both in UM as well. Back then,UM was in Singapore. He studied History, she did Geography. Then, my mum (Fawziah, their daughter) and my Dad were accepted into Pusat Asasi Sains University Malaya (PASUM).After 2 years of foundation studies, my dad went to the Engineering Faculty, and my mom, Medicine. My grandmother became a lecturer/professor in UM's Education faculty. She was also recently given the title of Professor Emeritus by UM for her services. My mom worked in UM Hospital for a while and both my sis and I were born there! 19 years later, I have completed my 1 year in PASUM with a 4.0 CGPA and i will continue the sort-of legacy of UM scholars in my family.

Now that's a little of my family's academic history to you readers. The reason why it is such and honour for me to be accepted into PASUM and now UM Medicine. Even with all of that, the usual questions like "is this what i really want?" and "will i be able to do this?" or "can I really be a doctor?" still race through my mind. Oh well.
